Members Day - Wooden Hiveware Construction

Thanks to everyone one who could attend today, it was great to see you. The snacks that everyone bought with them were fantastic, and the tea and coffee supplied by our hosts made for a nice break on a cool day.

We got quite a bit done, with the frames and supers for the new production hives now all assembled. Work will be done in the coming weeks to get the supers painted and ready for bees in October. It was great to see some members equipment being put together as well.

We also began work on the club Horizontal Hive/Long Langstroth and made great progress. There were some edits to the design on the fly to make it more practical as a club demonstration hive, but all in all it turned out great. With just the roof to complete, this will bring us to 6 club demonstration hives for members to be able to get experience and inspiration from.
