September Apiary Working Bee

A big thanks to all those who could make it today, it was great success. We were able to

• Mow the grass

• Whippersnip along the fence lines

• Prepare an area for new hives where the honey produced from them will be sold to raise funds for the club

• Lay pavers on the stairs

• Repair the fencing where the sheep had been getting in

• Reattach the windbreak cloth to the fence

• Prune the large Hawthorn Tree.

Throughout the season there will be an ongoing need for keep the grass maintained and to work the hives, so if you able to donate some of your time 1-2 times a month, please do get in touch with our Apiary Manager Nadya on yass.president@beekeepers.asn.au
